SRE Together is a program dedicated to empowering families with the tools and knowledge to navigate conversations about sexuality and relationships. Designed to support parents and caregivers in providing age-appropriate, meaningful education, SRE Together strives to create stronger, more informed connections within families.

This initiative is a proud part of Rural Ob Access & Maternal Services (ROAMS), a division of Taos Health Systems Inc., focused on improving health and education outcomes in rural communities. About Joelle van Willigen

As the creator of SRE Together, Joelle van Willigen brings a wealth of expertise and passion to this initiative. With 12 years of teaching experience in Colorado and northern New Mexico, Joelle has dedicated her career to supporting K-8 students as a Level 3 educator. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Gifted Education, and she has further honed her expertise as a certified Sexuality Educator, Coach, and Consultant through the Sexual Health Alliance.

As a mother of two, Joelle is deeply committed to fostering safe, open, and supportive conversations around sexuality and relationships. Her passion lies in helping children and families in northern New Mexico gain the knowledge and confidence they need to thrive. Through SRE Together, Joelle combines her professional expertise with her dedication to empowering communities to embrace healthy, informed approaches to sexual and relationship education.
